Held during covid isolation, the 2021 MAKERS conference was a virtual three day event that brought guests and presenters together to advance MAKERS mission of advancing equity through storytelling. Presenters included Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, actor Justin Baldoni, President and CEO of TIAA Thasunda Brown Duckett, aerospace engineer Diana Trujillo, Black Lives Matter founder Patrice Cullors, actress Gabrielle Union, chef Asma Khan, basketball star Sue Bird and soccer player Alex Morgan, comedian Jenny Yang and journalist Soledad O’Brien.
